SD Card, SD Memory Card - Fast & simple Secure Digital Card, MicroSD & MicroSDHC Cards
SD Card, also known as Secure Digital Card, is a fast and simple memory device the size of a postage stamp. MicroSD and MicroSDHC cards are becoming popular in mobile based cell phones. SD Memory Card was jointly developed by Matsushita Electronic (maker of Panasonic brand name products), SanDisk and Toshiba. Secure Digital Card (SD Card) weighs approximately two grams and is nonvolatile solid-state, which means that a Secure Digital Memory Card does not require power to retain the information stored on it and has no moving parts.
SD Memory Cards can be used in a variety of digital products including Digital Cameras, Digital Music Players, Cellular Phones, Handheld PCs, Digital Video Camcorders, Smart Phones, Card Navigation systems and electronic books. SD Cards have a high storage capacity and currently range from 16MB to 1TB in size. SD Memory Card offers great flexibility, excellent security, and fast data transfer rates for reliable copy, download, and backup operations.
Sony Memory Stick, Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo
Sony Memory Stick, developed by Sony, offers the convenience of recording different types of digital content and sharing and exchanging it between a wide variety of products. Sony Memory Stick is similar to a stick of gum and is about the same length as an AA battery. Sony Memory Sticks are highly resistant to shock and vibration and on certain models offer multiple memory units for increased capacity and flexible content categorization. Memory Stick media with the memory select function incorporate, for example, two 512MB memory units for a total capacity of 1GB on one Memory Stick. These Memory Sticks also ensure easy access to various stored content with the use of a mechanical switch on the back of the media that allows easy selection between the two memory units.
Duo Memory Stick is designed for use in ultra-compact and wearable devices for mobile applications. Duo Memory Sticks are one-third the size of a standard Memory Stick but offer the same functions and performance. Duo Memory Stick, when attached to an adapter, can be used in the same line of products as the standard size media. Memory Stick PRO, jointly developed by Sony and SanDisk, offers high capacity and high-speed data transfer which meets the new needs of the broadband era. Memory Stick PRO media enables real-time recording of high-resolution video and other solutions for the broadband era in a reliable and secure environment. To meet this high-quality video recording, the Memory Stick PRO minimum write speed has been standardized at 15Mbps and supports data transfer speeds of up to 160Mbps (theoretical value).

Smart Media Card - SmartMedia Card, a small removable, light, and thin flash memory card
Smart Media Card is about one-third the area of a standard PC card, only 0.76mm in thickness and weighs only 2 grams. SmartMedia Card is highly portable and can be carried in a pocketbook or a credit card holder. Compared to other Memory Cards, which use a semiconductor memory assembled on a circuit board, SmartMedia Cards have very simple structures. Smart Media Cards feature an embedded NAND-type flash memory chip, and are less costly than other Memory Cards. The NAND-type flash memory chip on all Smart Media contributes to the quick write and erase speeds since the data is written in small increments.
Smart Media Card; can be used is several different digital devices; including Digital Cameras, PDAs, Digital Music Players, and Digital Voice Recorders. Currently Smart Media Cards offer capacities of up to 128MB, however the compact size of a SmartMedia Card permits the user to have many cards to store a large library of data.
MMC Card, MMC Memory Card - MultiMedia Card for Mobile Phone and Digital Imaging
MMC Card, also known as MultiMedia Card, was jointly developed by SanDisk Corporation and Siemens AG - Infineon Technologies, and was introduced in November 1997. MMC Memory Card weighs less than two grams and is about the size of a postage stamp, making the MMC Cards one of the world's smallest removable solid-state memory solutions for mobile applications.
MultiMedia Card uses ROM technology for read-only applications and Flash for read & write applications. MMC Card is fast, providing excellent system performance, and energy efficient for extended battery life in portable products. MMC Memory Card has a wide variety of uses in some of the most exciting digital products today.
USB Flash Drive, USB Pen Drive - Cable free, plug and play device the size of a car key
USB Flash Drive and the USB Pen Drive are one of the easiest and fastest ways to access and transport data. USB Pen Drive, as well as the USB Flash Drive, is about the size of a car key and supports very high storage capacities. USB Flash Drives are USB Flash Memory Drives and offer capacities ranging from 16MB to 2GB in size. USB Pen Drive is a plug and play device, which means that it can be simply plugged into any USB port and the computer will automatically detect it as another removable drive. USB Flash Drive does not require any batteries, it does not need software or cables and is compatible with any IBM PC/compatible desktop and laptop computer with a USB or USB 2.0 port.
Intelligent Stick, iStick - One of the lightest and smallest USB Drives
Intelligent Stick is one of the smallest and lightest USB Drives, its thickness is a mere 2.8mm and it is just slightly longer than an MMC Card. iStick is fully compatible with any USB or USB 2.0 port, making the iStick a fully compatible plug and play device. Intelligent Stick is a new generation of Flash Memory, it can go straight from a digital camera, PDA, or MP3 player directly into the USB port on a desktop or laptop computer. Intelligent Stick, iStick, offers capacities ranging from 32MB to 1GB in size.
xD Picture Card, xD Memory - Compact and durable memory card compatible with the future
xD Picture Card is compact and durable, xD Memory is the ultimate reusable digital media. xD Picture Card offers capacities ranging from 16MB to 512MB in size. xD Picture Card is the only xD Card that supports the Panorama function found on most Olympus digital cameras. xD Card offers a stylish look, is very compact and provides very reliable digital information storage.
